February is National Children’s Dental Health Month!

Time to come in for a check up or first visit.

Kids should have their first visit to the dentist around 1 years of age. The first visit is important to talk about what to do as your child grows and to start the stages for a healthy development.

Did you know that kids need help with their brushing until the time that they can tie their own shoes. Kids take a while to develop the manual dexterity to brush in small, gentle circles on the gum line. Our recommendation is to have your child brush on their own in the morning and evening but in the evening having you go back and brush their teeth as well. This way before bed they have nice clean teeth and you can double check how everything looks.
